Finding free counselling

You have questions about residence, money, work or daily life? These centres in Kanton Luzern advise you for free, often in your language.

Counselling is normal in Switzerland. You do not have to know everything alone. These centres help you.

The counselling is free and confidential.

FABIA Luzern

FABIA is the competence centre for migration. It advises on residence, permits, naturalisation, German courses and discrimination. Counselling in many languages by arrangement.

Open consultation hours: Wednesday 3 pm to 4.30 pm. Tribschenstrasse 78, Luzern. Phone 041 360 07 22.

Welcome Desk Stadt Luzern

The Welcome Desk is for people who are new in the city of Luzern. For short questions about life in Luzern. German, English, French, Italian.

Tuesday and Thursday 1 pm to 5 pm. Obergrundstrasse 1, at the customer centre (Kundenzentrum). Phone 041 208 76 37.

Caritas

The social counselling service (Sozialberatung) of Caritas helps with money, family, work and authorities. Free and confidential.

Caritas also has a legal counselling service for asylum and immigration law in Luzern. Ask there about the costs.

SRK Kanton Luzern

The Swiss Red Cross (Schweizerisches Rotes Kreuz, SRK) helps with integration and work. There is German practice at the chat afternoon (Plaudernachmittag), mentoring and free tutoring. Phone 041 418 74 74.

HelloWelcome

HelloWelcome is a meeting place in Luzern. For refugees, migrants and locals. Free and open to everyone.

Tip

Say on the phone which language you speak. Many centres organise an interpreter. Bring your papers: permit, letters, contracts.
