Open meeting places

  • HelloWelcome, Bundesstrasse 13, Luzern: Open meeting place Monday to Thursday, 2 pm to 6 pm. For people with and without a refugee background. Free.
  • Sentitreff, Baselstrasse, Luzern: Neighbourhood meeting place with Café International on Friday afternoon. For people from all over the world.
  • Quartierarbeit Stadt Luzern (neighbourhood work): 8 neighbourhood offices (Quartierbüros) in the city. There you find out what is going on in your neighbourhood.

Speaking and practising German

There are language cafés and conversation meetings. There you speak German with others, without a course. For example the Konversationstreff or the LernAtelier at HelloWelcome.

Clubs (Vereine)

Clubs (Vereine) are very important in Switzerland. There are clubs for sport, music, culture and more. Most are open to everyone.

Ask in your municipality or at the neighbourhood office about clubs. FABIA also knows many meeting places.
